In the early hours of the morning as at 7 o’clock, Same was still sleeping. Theresa thought, why is Sam not awake? What’s he dreaming about? She looked at him and grinned cos if it’s on a work day he would have waked her up for breakfast.
She had just finished her quiet time, she did it on bed. Looking at the wall clock, it was five minutes after seven. How time flies, she said to herself.
She got out of bed, opened the curtains, but did not open the window. The brightness of the sky was not like the normal every day morning sky-it was dim a little bit. The weather was really weird.
The heating wasn’t on. Theresa had to go turn the heating to have a warm house.
Few hours later, Sam woke up not seeing Theresa in be. He had his prayers, read his bible, watched his face, brushed his teeth and walked to the lounge – a well furnished spacious lounge, having a tall rectangular shelf for books. The room was made chiefly of furnitures – except for the couch, door, window and few other things.
‘Morning dear’, said Sam to his wife. He sat down on the couch Theresa was sitting on.
‘Morning dear’, said Theresa. How was your night?’, she asked.
‘It was fantastic, you know, it’s been a long time I slept this way’, replied Sam, cheerfully.
After listening to the news on tele. Sam bloke the silence ‘we have to have the family devotion now, where is Randy?’
Randy appeared immediately Sam said ‘Randy’.
‘Morning dad, morning mum’, said Randy, yawning. He sank into a chair.
It’s been a while they held it this way. If it were to be a normal day when Sam will go to work, it would be just him and Theresa – very early in the morning and if he didn’t come back from work, Randy and Theresa will have it together.
When the devotion was finished, Randy went back to his room.
